Neo-Plasticism is known for its white background, black lines and use of squares, rectangles and the primary colors. Piet Mondrian created this style in 1917, after he moved to Paris, France. The style is meant to express spiritual harmony and order. The paintings or other artworks are very simple and look very abstract.
