Pablo Picasso

Pablo Picasso was a Spanish painter and sculptor. He spent most of his life in France and is best known for co-founding the Cubism style. His father was also a painter and vowed to stop painting because at 13, Picasso was painting over his sketches in better detail and with a greater level of precision than he had ever attained. Picasso's first words were, according to his mother,  “piz, piz”. "Piz" is a shortened version of lápiz, the Spanish word for ‘pencil’. His early works were characterized by extreme detail and looked very Naturalistic. He quickly changed his style to Cubism and helped found the style. Picasso is best known for his portraits in which all angles of a person are on the same plane.
